Description
We put your crews safety first. Metal machinery and substrates can transmit sound and vibration thats dangerous to working personnel, so the Sound Damping Coating Sound Control family is designed to dampen noise caused by structural translation.
Sound Damping Coating Sound Control products are easily applied with a sprayer, roller or brush and can be applied while equipment is functioning, so there is no lost production time or wasted manpower.
Recommended Areas for Sound Damping Coating Sound Control-dB
- Motors and transformers
- Metal ducts and vents
- Machine housing
- Fans, condensers and HVAC systems
- Tanks and storage vessels?
Unlike conventional insulation, Sound Control coatings significantly reduce corrosion under insulation. Lowering noise prior to it's airborne release, our coatings also keep equipment viewable and safe for regular inspection.

Application conditions
Substrate:Substrate needs to be dry and free of dust, grease and condense.
Ferro metal: substrates need to be primed prior to application with Sound Damping Coating
Non-Ferro metals: Non ferro metals, such as aluminium and stainless steel, do not need a primer.
Sand blasting: Sand blasting or sanding is normally not needed, if there are no loose or foreign matters on the substrate.
Ambient temperature: Ambient temperature for application recommended between 10 oC and 55 oC. Application at temperatures below 10 oC is not advised, unless the substrate temperature is above 15 oC. At ambient temperatures below 0 oC, application is normally possible if the substrate temperature is above 15 oC and the wet coating is protected from freezing in the pail, in the spr
Substrate temperature: Normally between 10 oC and 75 oC. Higher temperatures possible, check extensive application instructions. Substrate temperatures below 10 oC lengthen the drying period. Substrates below 5 oC are not recommended for application.
Topcoating: pre-testing is advised. Sound Damping Coating can be applied in multiple layers, without a maximum recoat time. Maximum dry layer thickness depends on the mechanical property demands of the user. Sound Damping Coating 1 to1.5mm. Ambient temperatures, substrate temperatures and humidity have to be taken under consideration. Trial application is recommended.
